Rebuilding balance. Redefining beauty.

Aesthetic care begins with an individual assessment of anatomy, skin, medical history and treatment goals. Where clinically appropriate, options may be discussed to support subtle changes while respecting natural features. Suitability, response, recovery and maintenance vary between individuals.

WHY W MEDICAL AESTHETICS

A medical clinic first,
an aesthetics clinic second.

Every treatment plan begins with an individual clinical assessment. Your skin, anatomy, medical history, goals, expected recovery and treatment risks are considered before options are discussed.

4
Aftercare and review

You receive relevant aftercare information and review guidance so response and recovery can be assessed before any next step is planned.

Dr Wong is committed to ongoing professional development and regularly undertakes further education in aesthetic medicine. By incorporating established technologies, contemporary techniques, and current clinical knowledge, he aims to provide treatments that are appropriate for each individual’s needs.

Individual responses and visible changes vary, and a consultation does not mean that treatment will be recommended.

WHAT WE TREAT

Common skin concerns

Skin concerns can have different causes and may require different approaches. Start with the concern most relevant to you, then request a consultation to check suitability.

All skin concerns
Active acne

Comedonal, inflammatory and cystic acne may affect the face or body. Management options depend on acne type, severity, medical history and current skincare.

Pigmentation

Melasma, sunspots, freckles and post-inflammatory marks can contribute to uneven tone. Assessment helps distinguish the likely cause before treatment options are considered.

Learn more
Acne scarring

Ice-pick, boxcar, rolling, hypertrophic and keloid scars respond differently. Scar type is assessed before any procedure is recommended.

Learn more
Skin rejuvenation

Changes in texture, tone, fine lines, dullness or firmness can be discussed during an individual assessment. Options depend on skin characteristics, medical history and goals.

Learn more
Skin cancer

Changes in moles or lesions require clinical assessment. Dermatoscopic examination may support assessment and monitoring, with referral when specialist review is required.

GOOD TO KNOW

Frequently asked questions

I’m not sure which procedure suits my concern. Where do I start?

Start with the concern rather than a procedure name. At your first appointment, Dr KS Wong looks at the area you want to discuss, your medical history, what you have tried before and what you would realistically like to change. The recommendation may be a procedure, a different approach, or no procedure at this stage.

Will Dr Wong assess me personally, and who will be involved in my care?

Dr Wong personally assesses every patient before anything is planned. He remains involved from the initial consultation through to the appointment, so the plan is based on the same clinical assessment from the start. If another practitioner is involved in any part of your care, the clinic will explain their role before you decide to proceed.

Will I be expected to go ahead with a procedure after my consultation?

No. An assessment does not commit you to a procedure. Dr Wong will explain what is reasonable for your concern, what the limits are and when doing less, waiting or doing nothing is the better option. You can take time to consider the information before deciding what, if anything, you want to do next.

What risks, side effects and downtime should I plan for?

These differ between procedures. Temporary redness, swelling, bruising or tenderness can occur with some options, while higher-risk procedures also carry less common but more serious risks. Before anything is planned, Dr Wong explains the risks relevant to the procedure being discussed and what recovery is likely to involve for you.

When might I notice a change, and how long can it last?

Depending on the procedure, visible change can appear within about 1 to 4 weeks, while collagen-remodelling effects often continue developing over 8 to 12 weeks. How long an effect remains noticeable also varies: for some procedures, published studies follow improvement for around 6 to 24 months, while lighter skin treatments may need maintenance sooner. Individual responses and results differ, so Dr Wong will explain the expected timeframe and any ongoing appointments before anything is planned.

How are fees worked out, and when will I know the cost?

Cost depends on what is being assessed and what, if anything, is clinically appropriate for you. Dr Wong will explain the recommended approach and the relevant fees before you decide whether to proceed. If maintenance is part of the plan, the likely ongoing commitment will also be discussed so you can consider the cost over time.

Can I ask more questions outside of the consultation?

Yes. If you are not sure whether an appointment is the right next step, you can send W Medical Aesthetics your question first. The clinic can clarify practical points before you book. Questions about medical suitability, risks or which procedure is appropriate need an individual assessment with Dr Wong.

This information is general and is not a substitute for individual medical advice. All procedures carry risk. Suitability, response, outcomes and recovery vary between individuals and can only be assessed during consultation.
