Morpheus8 at W Medical Aesthetics

At consultation, Dr Wong can discuss the concern you want assessed, the options available and their limitations. A treatment recommendation is individual: choosing another approach, or having no procedure, may be appropriate.

Morpheus8 is a minimally invasive procedure with potential risks. Suitability, responses and recovery vary. This product is not available for purchase by the general public.

Start with an individual assessment

Changes in texture and firmness are common and do not necessarily need treatment. If you would like advice, a consultation can explore your concerns without assuming Morpheus8 is the right option.

Discuss your medical history, medicines, previous procedures and any history of unusual scarring or skin reactions. Active skin problems, healing concerns and the proposed treatment area may affect whether a procedure should proceed.

  • Changes in skin firmness or mild to moderate laxity
  • Uneven skin texture
  • Atrophic, or indented, acne scars
  • The appearance of pores
  • Fine lines
  • Your priorities, expectations and tolerance for recovery

Clinical imagery is illustrative and does not show or predict a treatment outcome.

What happens at a Morpheus8 appointment?

The process includes preparation and aftercare, not only the procedure itself. Timing depends on the area and the agreed plan.

Assessment and consent

Review suitability, alternatives, likely limitations, risks and costs. You should have time to ask questions and decide whether to proceed.

Preparation and comfort

The skin is cleansed and prepared. Your practitioner explains appropriate comfort measures and checks the planned area before treatment begins.

RF microneedling

The applicator is used across the agreed area at selected settings. You may feel pressure, heat or discomfort; experiences differ between people and areas.

Aftercare and review

Receive instructions for skin care and recovery, including when to contact the clinic. Follow-up and any further treatment depend on your response.

Expected timeline and how changes are reviewed

Any changes may develop over weeks to months rather than immediately. The degree of change, when it becomes noticeable and how long it lasts cannot be predicted for an individual.

A review considers both your response and any unwanted effects before deciding on a next step. Further sessions are not automatic, and a fixed package should not replace clinical assessment.

  • Outcomes depend on individual skin characteristics and the concern being assessed.
  • Treatment settings, the area and healing response affect the experience.
  • Some people may notice limited change or find treatment unsuitable.
  • Future treatment or maintenance needs must be discussed individually.

Downtime, risks and aftercare

Redness, swelling and pinpoint or grid-like marks may occur after treatment. Recovery varies with the individual, area and settings; do not assume you will be ready for an important event immediately afterwards.

Risks include infection, burns, scarring and changes in pigmentation. Serious complications reported with RF microneedling include unwanted fat loss, disfigurement and nerve injury, sometimes requiring medical or surgical treatment.

These risks should be discussed alongside potential benefits. Contact the clinic promptly about unexpected or worsening symptoms, and seek urgent medical care if symptoms are severe.

Caring for your skin afterwards

  • Follow your individual aftercare instructions.
  • Cleanse gently and moisturise as directed.
  • Use appropriate sun protection.
  • Avoid picking or rubbing the treated skin.
  • Ask when to restart active skincare, makeup and your usual activities.
  • Do not resume exfoliating or potentially irritating products until advised.
  • If your skin is not recovering as expected, seek advice instead of adding products or arranging another procedure.

Alternatives and treatment costs

Depending on your assessment, you may wish to discuss options such as CO2 laser or QuantumRF. These use different technologies, with their own indications, limitations and risks; they are not interchangeable.

Ask for an individual cost estimate, including the proposed area, appointments, follow-up and any additional charges. You do not need to commit to a procedure to discuss your options.

Frequently asked questions about Morpheus8

Is Morpheus8 painful?

Heat, pressure and discomfort can occur. Sensation varies by area and individual tolerance. Discuss comfort measures before deciding to proceed; pain-free treatment cannot be promised.

How many sessions will I need?

There is no suitable session count for everyone. Any proposed number and spacing should reflect your assessment and be reconsidered according to recovery and response.

Can I discuss Morpheus8 for acne scars?

Yes. Scar type, depth, active acne and your skin history need assessment. Indented acne scars differ from other marks, and another approach may be more appropriate.

Is treatment available for the body?

Contact the clinic to confirm the areas and device configuration available. A body assessment is needed before discussing suitability, recovery or a treatment plan.

How much does Morpheus8 cost?

Request an estimate after assessment. Costs depend on the proposed area and plan. Ask what is included and whether consultation or follow-up charges apply.

Is there downtime, and are there risks?

Visible redness, swelling or marks may affect your plans. Recovery varies, and complications can occur. Review the risks and aftercare information above and discuss your circumstances at consultation.
